A Florida death row inmate from Walton County has had his death sentence upheld by the state Supreme Court.
Ernest Suggs was convicted in July, 1992 for first degree murder, robbery and kidnapping of Pauline Casey who worked at a Freeport area bar.
The robbery of the bar and the kidnapping and murder of the employee occurred in August of 1990 while Suggs was on parole for charges of murder and attempted murder.
The case was previously upheld by the district courts and Thursday’s 44 page ruling upholding the death sentence was unanimous from the seven high court justices.
