It could be the best holiday gift of all, the gift of time.

"Sixty days is like a lifeline, I mean, it really is."

Debra Rabion has been staying at the Boardwalk Beach Resort with her handicapped mother for the past 99 days. She's still trying to pick up the pieces of their broken lives, but she says it takes time to heal.

That's why the extra eight weeks is essential. Others say this time helps out, especially at this time of year; eight more weeks to find a more permanent home and return to a sense of normalcy once again.

Hurricane Katrina victims who are waiting for FEMA trailers must show proof they owned land before they can make a trailer request.
