Governor Bush Names New Area Judge

Gov. Jeb Bush Monday announced the appointment of James Fensom to a newly created judgeship for the Fourteenth Circuit Court.

Fensom will fill the vacancy in the Fourteenth Judicial Circuit created during the 2005 legislative session.

Fensom, 55, of Panama City, is currently a partner with the law firm of Barron, Redding, Hughes, Fite, Fensom, Sanborn & Kiehn, P.A., in Panama City, a position he has held since 1978.

Previously, he served as an assistant state attorney in the Office of the State Attorney for the Fourteenth Circuit.

Fensom received his undergraduate degree from Auburn University in 1972 and his Juris Doctor from the Florida State University College of Law in 1975.

The Fourteenth Circuit includes six counties, Bay, Gulf, Calhoun, Jackson, Washington and Holmes.
