Search and rescue workers Tuesday afternoon were able to recover the body of a missing Port St. Joe fisherman.
Fifty-four-year-old Lewis Donn Miles went missing in the Ochlochonee River on the Franklin and Wakulla County line.
Other fishermen found Miles’ empty fishing boat, with the engine running, going in circles at mid morning. They speculated he either fell from the boat or was thrown overboard and a search was begun.
Taking part were teams from the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission, the Franklin and Gulf County Sheriff's Departments and Gulf County Search and Rescue.
Miles’ body was recovered Tuesday afternoon in the same general location where he boat was found running in circles.
