Possible Woodlawn Development Angers Some Residents

They may live door to door to each other, but now residents of the Woodlawn community have another reason to unite. They're putting their foot down to keep their neighborhood free from any new development, but developers have plans of their own.

They purchased the 6.5 acre property from Woodlawn Methodist Church months ago, and now they're planning to build within the community.

They say they're trying to work with the community to make it a positive step for everyone, but residents are worried about the changes development may bring, but developers assure these problems will be taken care of before construction takes place.

The Bay County planning commission is meeting January 19, where a permit may or may not be issued to move forward.
