The flu bug is getting worse in Florida, but state health officials say it's still not as bad as last year.
Monday the Florida Department of Health reported the number of flu cases across the state has increased from sporadic to notable regional activity.
Florida Health Secretary Rony Francois is urging people to get a flu shot. He says this is the peak of flu season in Florida, so there's still plenty of time to get protection.
Francois says there have been some distribution problems with flu vaccine this winter, but he says the shots are still coming in to many local doctors.
