After less than a year on the job, Mark Henry is quitting.
Corrections Corporation of America officials confirmed that Henry resigned Monday as the Warden of the Bay County Jail.
Henry would only say it was for personal reasons. The resignation was effective immediately.
Henry took over the county jail last summer from Kevin Watson who was fired.
Prior to his arrival here, Henry was the Chief of Jackson County’s corrections facility for two years, and spent more than 20 years in the management of federal prisons.
Former local jail warden Denny Durben will take over as Interim Warden until CCA hires a replacement for Henry.
