Saturday Drowning Probed

Panama City police are investigating the apparent drowning death of a 22-year-old Local man. Stephen Clint Cosper was found in the waters of Massalina Bayou by the U.S. Coast Guard during a search Saturday morning.

Panama City police were called to the Tarpon Dock area when a boat was found adrift with the motor still running and no one was onboard.

The Panama City Police Department, U.S. Coast Guard and The Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission began a search and an hour later found Cosper’s body floating near one of the docks.

An autopsy will be performed to determine the exact cause of death

In the meantime, anyone with any information about the case is urged to call the Panama City Police Department at 850-872-3100 or the Crimestoppers tips line at 785-TIPS.
