Florida Motorcycle Crashes Increasing Dramatically
As more and more people trade four wheels for two due to gas prices, motorcycle safety is becoming a concern for law enforcement. The Department of Motor Vehicles is asking bikers to wear brighter shirts and vest, but it may be what they’re not to wearing on their heads that’s causing the most concern.

Can anyone explain to me how helmets will prevent crashes?

Did anyone think that the reason motorcycles crashes are increasing is because there are more people riding motorcycles due to the gas situation??? Which most likely means younger drives out there and VERY VERY inexperienced bikers.

I do not wear a helment unless I want to and I do not want the idiots in Tallasshee telling me that I have to. I am so sick and tired of some people that think they know what is best for me, BACK OFF. Most of the accidents with bikes are newbies( new to the motorcycle world) that have not rode for years or have never rode a bike at all. Alcohol or some stupid driver in a cage trying to multi task and is in a hurry is also to blame, Yes and there are some just plain stupid bikers on the road, that push the limits. I say if you are stupid then look out your wreck is coming. I just want the Government to stay out of my pocket,off my back and out of my business. The way I choses to ride is my business.
