Employees with animal services at PAWS say the first time they saw this type of crime was august of last year. In the past month alone they've found four decapitated goats. Investigators say they're stumped.

Dee Thompson, Director of Animal Services says, "We're trying out every scenario that there could possibly be, but we have yet to narrow anything down."

Officials say the last four crimes involved black male pigmy goats. The most recent carcasses were discovered in front of Silver Sands School, Mary Esther Library, and on Lowery Rd. Blood stains on the pavement are a reminder of the heinous acts investigators found Wednesday morning.

Terrance Sykes, Animal Control Officer says, "It's sickening that someone would do something animals as docile as a goat that someone would do something like that it's really horrible."

Officials aren't sure if the mutilations are unrelated, or if they're a series of sacrificial ritualistic killings. Either way, different law enforcement agencies say they're working together to solve these crimes.

The sheriff's department, police department, and now the department of agriculture is stepping up and sending over people to help because there is always that fear that it could escalate to someone doing something to a human.
