As most of you have heard by now, the old Indian Summer Seafood Festival is being replaced this year by the Seafood, Wine and Music Festival.
Tourism leaders said they wanted a classier event than they've had in the past.
One of the criticisms was the tendency to book predominately country music acts as the entertainment.
Earlier this year, the new festival organizers said they wanted a mix of entertainment, with an emphasis on jazz.
Over the last several weeks, the promoter has announced 2-of the musical acts, southern rock band "38 Special" and country music artist Craig Morgan.
So where's the jazz?
One of the organizers, Jack Bishop says, "Yes, originally we were going to do some jazz, but you know there is already a smooth jazz festival a the TDC already funds and is bringing to panama city beach next year and i decided let's stay more to our roots and see if we can change it up."
Bishop also says there will be a variety of entertainment from reggae to rock to country, even kids concerts.
The seafood, Wine and Music Festival takes place Columbus Day weekend, October 10-th, 11th and 12th at Frank Brown Park.
