Tuesday morning the groups designing the nearly $300 million airport presented pictures of what people will see as they fly in and out of Bay County.
The board viewed pictures of the entrance to the airport, the parking lot with a canopy walkway, and even what the terminal will look like.
Of course, there are still certain areas of concern for the board like ventilation and how it handles high winds, and staying within the budget is one of their biggest challenges.
"I think everything's on trace, it's all subject to review of the finances as time moves forward. That'll be a moving target somewhat, but our objective today was to give directions to our designers, our architects and engineers to bring back to the board a more detailed cost estimate."
The board expects a final estimate on the cost of the new airport during their next meeting on May 23.
