Seven children and their school bus driver have been hospitalized after the bus was rear-ended by a cement mixer truck.

Leon County School Board Chairman Dee Crumpler says at least one student was in critical condition after the crash Friday in southwest Tallahassee.

The bus was taking 27 students from Apalachee Elementary School to a Boys and Girls Club.

It was stopped for a red light when struck from behind.
