Sixty-three-year-old Nancy Garrett was found shot to death in a shed behind her Lisenby Avenue Home back in July.

Garrett had been reported missing by her family two days earlier. Originally, investigators said they had searched the shed where her body was found, and it wasn't in there. Sheriff McKeithen said the body had been moved.

Now investigators say they aren't sure that's factual. They've sent all their evidence to the FBI and Florida Department of Law Enforcement for testing, and now are waiting on results.

"The reason we sent the stuff off to the FBI and Florida Department of Law Enforcement is that we hope they can answer that question for us. The stuff we sent off, we hope they're going to be able to tell us if the body was moved, if the body was inside, if anything was tampered with, so that's what we're waiting on. We're hoping to get the answers from them and be able to base our decision at that point on what actually occurred," said Mitch Pitts, Bay County Sheriff's Investigator.

Pitts say they've kept in close contact with Garrett's family throughout the investigation. Although they haven't confirmed whether this was a murder or suicide, Pitts says they're reasonably sure her death was "not the result of anyone else's actions other then her own."
