A Santa Rosa Beach man died early Wednesday morning when his car collided with a construction company truck which was watering a grass median on Highway 98 in South Walton County.

Killed was 36 year old Robert E. Aldrich.

THe Florida Highway Patrol says Aldrich didn't see the tranker truck until the last seconds, changed lanes to avoid a crash, but collided with the rear of the truck.

Troopers say the tanker was equiped with emergency flashers, four way flashers and an orange reflective triangle posted on the rear.

The tanker driver, 31 year old Waymond Roulhac oif Defuniak springs was not injured. No charges were filed.
