Apalachicola Area Death Leads to Criminal Charges
Two men are jailed on manslaughter charges in the death of a 26-year-old man at a boat ramp north of Carrabelle on State Road 67.

Two men are jailed on manslaughter charges in the death of a 26-year-old man at a boat ramp north of Carrabelle on State Road 67.
Franklin County Sheriff Mike Mock says Lathaniel Jorden Carnes was found dead this weekend at the Pine Log boat ramp following a fight that took place overnight.
Franklin County sheriff's investigators seven hours later arrested two suspects, 26-year-old Karl Zachary White and 31-year-old Herbert Austin Crosby, both of Carrabelle.
Each is charged with manslaughter and is being held in the Franklin County Jail in Eastpoint.
Investigators have not disclosed what started the fight which led to Carnes’ death.
