Coastlines Makes it to the Big Screen

Five years after it was filmed in Apalachicola, Director Victor Nunez’ movie “Coastlines” has made it to theaters.

The independent filmmaker is known for his Florida Panhandle based movies. His first, “Ruby in Paradise”, was shot at Panama City Beach and launched the acting career of Ashley Judd.

Nunez’ next movie was “Ulees Gold”, which was filed in Wewahitchka. This story about a Gulf County beekeeper earned Peter Fonda an Oscar nomination.

Coastlines, starring Sara Wynter and Timothy Olyphant, is the story of an ex-con who tangles with the drug boss who helped send him to prison.

Nunez’ recruited about 120 area residents who served as extras in the latest film.
