Panama City police arrested 33-year-old Wainer Goncalves Carvalho, charging him with trafficking cocaine and hydrocodone, as well as possession of marijuana, prescription drugs and three firearms.
They developed Carvalho as a suspect during a drug investigation at the Passport Inn on West Highway 98 in St. Andrew.
The street value of the drugs is estimated at over $15,000. Officers say they also seized a large amount of U.S. currency during the arrest.
Carvalho was in the U.S. illegally. He had an expired visa from Brazil.
Meanwhile, in a separate drug case, two men are in the Bay County Jail accused of dealing in cocaine.
Shedrick Roneale Faulk of Tallahassee and Seneca Lavelle Addision of Blountstown were arrested in a joint investigation by several local agencies.
Investigators from the Bay County Sheriff's Office, Panama City Police Department and the State Attorney's Office arrested the pair at a home on Harmon Avenue in the downtown area.
After searching the suspects, the Harmon Avenue house and another home on Lincoln Avenue, authorities say they found a total of 500 grams of cocaine worth $15,000. They also seized $8,000 cash.
Both Faulk and Addison are facing drug trafficking charges.
