Mike Kassamili manages the Texaco on Front Beach Road, where gas dropped to $2.99 overnight.
"People are excited. I'm excited. I'm selling out of gas and everybody is happy, you know," said Mike Kassamili, Texaco manager.
Other stations have dropped to $2.96 a gallon, but despite the decline some customers don't understand the high price to begin with.
"In the area if one can sell it for $3.00 a gallon and make money, why does the next one charge 25-30 cents more and not a mile down the road? They all buy at the same refinery so to me I just don't understand at all," said Bennie Burk, visitor.
"I think this is just because of the election or something and it's going to go right back up," said Les Merrit, a Panama City Beach resident.
The prices we are paying are lower than the state and national averages, but enjoy it while you can because who knows what will happen next.
Remember just about a month ago, gas prices were more than $5.00 a gallon in some areas in Florida.
