Minimum Wage workers in Florida got some good news Friday. Florida's Minimum Wage is going up January first to $7.21 per hour. Currently it’s $6.79 per hour.

Florida voters in 2004 approved a constitutional amendment which created Florida's Minimum Wage. It is adjusted every January first.

The state announced Friday what the wage would be pegged at starting January first and lasting all 2009.
