The State Fire Marshal investigators are still working Tuesday morning to determine the cause of a late Tuesday night blaze which destroyed the Show N' Tail topless bar on Thomas Drive.
Firefighters say the blaze started around 9:30 p.m. in the club's attic. They say a club manager smelled smoke, went upstairs, and saw the fire.
He evacuated the building and called 9-1-1, but by the time firefighters arrived the club was completely engulfed in flames.
It took firefighters over an hour to put out the blaze.
Fred Walker is the Chief of the Thomas Drive Fire Department and says, "The first crews inside started pulling the ceilings and they found heavy fire welling out from the ceiling and then very quickly the ceiling began to come down. They then started going to a defensive position."
This is the second time the club has caught fire this year. In April, an electrical short in the attic also started a fire, but crews were able to put that one out with minimal damage
