Several charity organizations have been collecting and distributing school uniforms to help take the pinch out of the pocket as parents purchase clothes for the upcoming year.
But that hasn't stopped the flow of complaints, everything from colors to quality to cost to personal expression.
Some people just aren't happy about the policy, but school board members say parents have had ample time to prepare for the change.
They also say the dress code is an extremely relaxed version of a uniform compared to other school systems. Board members say the positives of school uniforms far outweigh the negatives, from safety to convenience.
If you haven't had a chance to review the school uniform policy for next year, everything you need to know if posted on the bay district school site. That address is www.bay.k12.fl.us.
