Two Mexicans are facing deportation after local authorities arrested them in a drug investigation.
Panama City Police and Bay County sheriff's deputies seized a half-kilo of cocaine worth an estimated $10,000 and a half-pound of marijuana worth $3,000.
Lawmen say they stumbled upon the case last Friday night when two officers stopped by a convenience store to get a drink and witnessed a drug sale.
They were able to track the activity to a beach construction site, where they arrested the two Mexicans, one here legally, and one illegally.
Sheriff's officials say they're going to work more closely with federal agents to crackdown on drug activity among the immigrants.
