Tyndall air force base could face a court case--for environmental hazards.

On Wednesday, an organization called ‘Public Employees for Environmental Responsibility’, or PEER, filed a lawsuit against Tyndall Air Force Base.

A complaint filed in August 2006 claimed Tyndall officials routinely allowed water pollution, wetlands violations, and other breaches of resource protection laws, including those safeguarding cultural artifacts.

The air force office of special investigation filed a review a year ago; however, PEER says their request for a copy of the report has been ignored.

Wednesday PEER filed a lawsuit in U.S. District Court in Washington, D.C.
