Attempted Robbery in Springfield

11-21-08 - Springfield police are looking for two men who may be suspects in an attempted carjacking or robbery, and one of them may have a gunshot wound.

It happened a little after 7:00 tonight at the intersection of Highway 22 and Business 98.

A motorist was sitting at the traffic light, about to turn left onto Business 98, when he says he say he heard two black men yelling at him. Then he says one of the men, armed with a knife, started running toward him. The driver grabbed a gun and fired at the men.

Both ran from the scene. Authorities aren't sure if either man was hit by the shots.
