The Okaloosa County Sheriff’s Office has charged a Laurel Hill man with two counts of lewd or lascivious molestation, two counts of showing obscene material to a minor, two counts of lewd or lascivious exhibition, and one count of lewd or lascivious conduct.

The charges against 49-year-old William Jeffrey Wright of 7971 Steel Mill Creek Road in Laurel Hill involve three separate victims.

Investigators say the incidents, which include fondling, exposure of sexual organs, and viewing pornographic materials with the minors, occurred during a time span ranging from 1992 to 2004.

Wright was arrested Thursday and taken to the Okaloosa County Jail in Crestview.

The investigation started in December 2005 when the mother of one of the victims filed allegations with an out-of-state agency. Deputies say information received during the investigation indicates Wright may have had access to other children in Okaloosa County, as well as in the Mobile Alabama and Jacksonville areas.

Anyone with any information is asked to please contact the Okaloosa County Sheriff’s Office Criminal Investigations Division at 850-609-2000, or Emerald Coast Crime Stoppers at 850-863-TIPS.
