A local jury has convicted one of the two suspects in the murder of a Springfield man in April.
It took jurors just two hours to find Eric Anthony Baker, Jr. guilty of accessory to second degree murder with a firearm.
Prosecutors said Baker picked up Daryl Black, then provided him assistance after Black shot and killed Woodrow Cherry, III. Investigators say the two had some kind of argument over drugs.
Authorities found Cherry's body inside of a car at the intersection of Highway 22 and Berthe Avenue in Callaway.
Black, who is charged with first degree murder for the actual shooting, has yet to stand trial.
Baker faces a maximum of 15 years in prison. Sentencing is set for October 10.
