A Panama City teenager has died in a single-vehicle traffic accident in central Florida.
Seventeen-year-old Horace McClinton II of Calvin Ave died this weekend in Tampa.
The Florida Highway Patrol says McClinton was driving his pickup truck on I-275 when he drifted onto the shoulder and struck a guardrail.
He was not wearing a seat belt and was thrown through the window. He hit an I-beam support for the guard rail, and then continued along the top of the guardrail and back onto the roadway.
His pickup then hit a concrete temporary barrier and traveled across the top of it and then hit a permanent barrier wall for the interstate overpass bridge.
He died later at a Tampa area hospital.
