The fact they're home, is starting to sink in for a group of local soldiers who came back Friday, from a year long deployment in Iraq.

On Saturday a formal welcoming home ceremony was held at the Army Reserve Center in honor of the 21 soldiers.

Members of the Patriot Guard were also there to help out and thank the soldiers for their service.

The 576-th U.S. Army Reserve left the U.S in March of 2008.

On Saturday the soldiers were honored with a lunch and gift bags put together by local merchants.
