The University of Florida-Bay County Extension Office is moving into the former Cedar Grove's Town Hall. It's hardly recognizable now, with boxes stacked to the ceiling and all over the desk of the old commission chamber.
Bay County officials still have some unpacking to do and computers to set up. It may take some time before everything is completely in order, but county officials say they'll be able to serve everybody's needs beginning tomorrow. They're excited that the old town hall will allow them to expand services.
Marjorie Moore, Director of the Extension Office, says, "This facility is almost twice the size of where we were, which provides us with more offices, larger classrooms space so we can offer educational programs."
The new facility also has more parking and a garden, where volunteers can hold demonstrations.
