The move to privatize on base housing at Tyndall Air Force base has been underway since November 2003.
Now base officials say the move's just a couple of months away, and the changes have residents demanding answers.
Right now residents on the base pay only for phone and cable, but private housing would force them to pay rent and utilities bills.
Base officials say Tyndall would give residents subsidy money to pay for rent and utilities, but some people fear the money coming in and the money going out won't add up.
Base officials say they haven't finalized a contract so far, but they say they plan to have one in place by October 12, just in time for a Town Hall meeting on the matter.
