Jackson County Sheriff's investigators are increasing their efforts in a 17-year-old double murder case, after they received some new information.

It's the case of Teresa and Tiffany Hall.

The 25-year-old woman and her 5-year old daughter were killed in their Cypress home on December 10, 1991, after returning home from the Marianna Christmas parade.

The murders were particularly brutal.

Over the years there have been a number of suspects, including Rafael Resendez-Ramirez, one of the so-called Railway serial killers, who was executed in Texas 3-years ago.

But most of those high-profile suspects were ruled-out.

Now Jackson County authorities are refocusing their investigation closer to home.

Jackson County Sheriff Lou Roberts says, "however, recently, with some new information that has been provided to the Sheriff's office, we still feel like the person that is responsible still lives in our community."

Roberts wouldn't elaborate on the new leads, but he is asking for your help.
