A local woman, a former bookkeeper for a manufacturing company, has been arrested in an embezzlement which may reach a half million dollars.
Pamela B. Tate, 39 years old, of 7119 Everest Street has been charged with three counts of grand theft.
Bay County sheriff’s investigators say Tate is alleged to have written and signed checks to herself on the company’s bank account. It’s thought she may have been keeping two sets of books to hide the thefts.
Lawmen believe the thefts could date back to 2002. She was terminated in August of this year.
