The event is one of many walks held throughout the country in honor of national Down Syndrome Month in October.
The Buddy Walk was established in 1995 to promote acceptance of people with Down syndrome.
All proceeds from the walk go to Acton Up With Downs, a group that provides support and resources to adults and children with Down syndrome.
Participants call the event family oriented, educational and fun.
Kathy Hanson, a mother, said, "It's just an amazing thing to see everyone come together and be supportive for the Buddy Walk. These kids are fabulous and you really do need to get to know them."
