Victim in Bizarre Strip Search Hoax Testifies

The victim of a bizarre strip search and sexual assault at a central Kentucky McDonald's restaurant testified in the trial of a Panama City man that she was given two choices after being accused of stealing money: agree to a strip search at the store, or go to police headquarters to be searched.

The victim's testimony came on the second day of the criminal trial of David R. Stewart of Fountain, Florida who is accused of making the April 2004, phone call to McDonald's and ordering that the worker be strip searched and later sexually abused.

The victim testified today that Summers, allegedly acting on the orders of a caller pretending to be a police officer, told her the search would be easier to do in the McDonald's office, so she was stripped and her clothes were taken from her.

If convicted, Stewart could be sentenced to more than 15 years in prison.
