Last Friday, May 15, the Jackson County Sheriff’s Office responded to a report of a residential burglary at the 2900 block of Dellwood Cypress Road in the Cypress community.

The victim reported to Deputies that several electronic devices, including a Flat screen T.V. and Computer were missing from the residence along with some assorted tools.

Investigators from the Sheriff’s Office began to work the case attempting to develop suspects, or information on the case.

On Monday information was obtained in the case that gave investigators probable cause to obtain arrest warrants for Tony Michael Russ of Malone, Florida, and David Ralph Carpenter of Marianna.

The two defendants were located on May 19, 2009 and arrested on charges of burglary of a residence, grand theft, and dealing in stolen property.

The two defendants were transported to the Sheriff’s Office and statements were obtained that lead investigators to the recovery of some of the property.

At least one of the defendants is believed to be involved in other cases and further charges are expected. The two defendants were transported to and lodged in the Jackson County Correctional Facility to await first appearance.

I don't know that older man, but I do know Tony Russ very well and has ALWAYS been trouble..I even remember being at the store one day and the manger ran out, drove off fast to her home to protect her family from him. Other then the lack of jobs in malone, Russ is one of the reason I left..I couldn't even goto the store in my home town of Malone without him trying to fight me with my wife and baby in the vehicle with me..his dad Mr. Russ laughs about this and thinks its funny how his boys are bullies..I have never wished any bad on anyone but i do feel Tony Russ needs to be taught a lesson by his actions...his daddy always bails him out..lets see if the Jackson County Sherifs feel the same and help this kid...hes going no where fast and needs Christ in his life....I for one feel safer knowing hes off the streets..for know... maybe, just maybe this will change him and he'll become a better person...God be with you Tony and the Russ family, and of ofc the Jackson County Sheriff
