A somewhat Panama City Beach landmark on Thomas Drive is now history.
Demolition crews began leveling the show 'n' tail topless nightclub Tuesday. A majority of the adult club was destroyed by a fire in June.
The club's owner, Allan Johnson, hired a private investigator to determine if the blaze was intentional, but fire investigators said it was faulty wiring.
Last month Bay County Code Enforcement officials sent Johnson a demolition notice, saying he must clean up the property by November 7th, or the county would take matters into its own hands.
So Tuesday, Johnson had crews on the scene, tearing-down what's left of the building.
It's unlikely he'll rebuild at the same location. Eight years ago, Johnson and other adult oriented business owners in unincorporated Bay County agreed to be off of the main tourist corridors, like Thomas Drive, by February 2007.
