Tuesday was day two in dealing with the death of a loved one for Captain Shawn English's family.

Captain English died Sunday when an improvised explosive devise detonated just north of Baghdad in Iraq.

Captain English's wife Trisha spent much of Tuesday at the Naval Support Academy meeting with her husband's former colleagues, going over funeral plans, and plans for a memorial service that'll take place, Thursday, at the Woodlawn Methodist Church in Panama City Beach.

The memorial service will take place at the Woodlawn United Methodist Church at in Panama City Beach at 4 p.m. on Thursday in Captain English's honor.

His funeral will be held in his home state, Ohio, following the service.

On an interesting note, English's family says they've been encouraged by Linda Cope, the mother of a wounded soldier who was raised in Panama City Beach.

Family members said her well wishes gave them strength through what's mostly likely going to be a tough road ahead.
