A local teenager has been arrested on charges that span two states, including one Bay County charge of attempted murder.
Bay County sheriff's deputies say 18-year-old Hasan Cummings is believed to be connected to a shooting in Springfield back on November 15.
Thirty-year-old Calvin Smith was shot in front of his 13th Court home. The victim told police five men jumped from some bushes and robbed him in his front yard. The men then shot smith with a shotgun as they drove away in a Cadillac Escalade.
Smith was treated and released at a local hospital. The man Smith identified as the triggerman, 21-year-old Jamal Jones, was arrested shortly after the shooting.
Thursday, Hasan Cummings was arrested on attempted murder and armed robbery charges in connection to that case. He's also facing two armed robbery charges in Ozark, Alabama.
Cummings was found at a family member’s home in Bay County. He was booked into the Bay County Jail.
