Florida Chief Financial Officer Alex Sink may have made extra stops on the state plane to pick up or drop off family members while conducting state business.

Flight logs show that while Sink and staff were traveling to the capital from West Palm Beach in January, the plane stopped in Tampa for 20 minutes. No one got off, and only Sink's husband, Bill McBride, got on the plane before taking off again.

Records also show similar use of the state plane during other trips.

Sink's office said Sink reimbursed the state for any family members' flights. A spokeswoman would not say whether the stops in Tampa were scheduled solely to pick up of drop off family members.

Sink, a Democrat, is running for governor.
