Area businesses have been gearing up for the 4th of July weekend for months... and are expecting it to be a huge success. There are plenty of places to go and things to do around town this fourth of July weekend.

Panama City Beach:
New 1,500-foot Russell-Fields Pier on Front Beach Road across from Pier Park is expected to be open all day today, Saturday and Sunday. Boardwalk Beach Resort fireworks are Friday only, at 9 p.m. at 9600 S. Thomas Drive with resort transformed into a boardwalk like Atlantic City, a movie will be played after the firework show.
