Thank-you to all who have fought and died to protect the American way of life, tonight my family will celebrate those individuals, and our family members who served. Our independence lays on their shoulders, and for carrying that burden, they should be saluted. The money that is spent by our local governments to put on these displays may be a waste to some, but consider all the money families attending these celebrations will spend enjoying the shows and other activities while waiting the fireworks. That in itself will boost the local economy, and help those who have been layed off with services their families will need in the future. In times like these, I am thankful to have something to celebrate. Again, thank you to our troops, especially those who have to mark this holiday from afar, we will be praying for you and your families today.

Why is Panama City spending thousands of dollars for a fireworks display when they are laying off workers due to a supposely budget cut. Maybe the Mayor and City Commissioners can answer this without lying to the public and the workers layed off. I think we need a change in city government. I think it's about time everyone looks at their own City Government and the way they are spending your money. I think it's time for new faces. I know this is a waste of my time but if the voting public does not see what the local and National Government is doing then it will be to late. Take time to check out some of the bills being passed by the Federal Government and some of the tax increases being passed by your local Government.
