Jackson Co. Investigators Arrest Two in Alford

On Wednesday afternoon, Investigators with the Jackson County Drug Task Force and the Florida Highway Patrol Contraband Interdiction Unit located and arrested Verland Terry Ball in Alford.
Ball was wanted on an active warrant after absconding from the supervision of Florida State Probation in Washington County.
Ball fled from a residence in Alford upon the arrival of Law Enforcement and was located in a wooded area near the residence a short time later. Also arrested with Ball was Martha Diana Bellamy.
Bellamy fled the residence with Ball and was located near the residence. Bellamy also had outstanding warrants for her arrest in Jackson County.
The Jackson County Drug Task Force is a combined effort of the Cottondale Police Department, Graceville Police Department, Marianna Police Department, The Florida Department of Law Enforcement and the Jackson County Sheriff’s Office.
