The Bay County Marine Law Enforcement Alliance was formed almost a year ago.
The agencies meet once a month, and have trained on the water twice since they formed.
The groups which make up the alliance are the Bay County Sheriff's Office, Panama City Police Department, Panama City Beach Police Department, the U-S Coast Guard, and the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission.
Friday’s exercise involved boarding a vessel and making an arrest. Past exercises focused on boating accidents.
Captain Ken Parramore of the Fish & Wildlife Conservation Commission is one of the leaders. “We conduct training together so when the time comes when all the agencies have to deploy for one mission, then everybody in up to speed on the current training on the same page with the protocol"
The alliance’s goals for this joint training is for an increase of personal skills and provide an exchange of information for all agencies involved.
