Members of the Bay Vounty chapter of the N-A-A-C-P held their annual banquet in Panama City Saturday night.
More than 200 people turned out to the Black Angus Restaurant on West US 98 in St. Andrew for the 17th annual Black and Gold Awards banquet.
The banquet is part of the N=A-A-C-P’s Black History Month celebration.
The evening’s guest speaker was the Chairman of the Economic Development Committee for the N-A-A-C-P out of Jacksonville. The theme of his speech was "Closing the Gap"-- focusing on better opportunities for African Americans.
