Forty-one-year-old George Thrasher was sentenced Wednesday to what may be the longest prison sentence in Bay County history.
Thrasher was convicted last week of 78 counts of possession of child pornography.
Thrasher has had 20 previous felony convictions since 1977.
Circuit Judge Michael Overstreet gave Thrasher the maximum sentence for each of the 78 counts against him, and ordered him to serve them consecutively, for a total of 390 years.
Thrasher's attorney says the sentence violates the constitutional protection against cruel and unusual punishment.
