Magnet School Open House

This month parents are deciding where their children will attend school next year.

Oscar Patterson Elementary Magnet School is hosting a kindergarten registration open house Monday afternoon. Parents and children are encouraged to attend the open house from 2:30 until 3:30 for more information about the school.

This magnet school for math, science and technology has struggled in the past to become more racially balanced. The solution came with a proposal to make the school a center for technology in the county.

You can pick up enrollment cards at the school board office on Balboa Avenue or at any school.
