The newest, greatest version of Microsoft's operating software, Windows 7, went on-sale today.
Windows 7 is supposed to be much better and faster than the last system, Windows Vista.
In year's past, the release of a new Windows system meant people lining up a day or two ahead of the release.
But not so much this time around.
NewsChannel 7 gives you an inside look at some of Windows 7's new features.

Windows 7 may sound like a strange name following in the footsteps of Windows XP and Vista.
"What that stands for is that's the 7th major version of Windows."
And technology professionals like Matthew White say it's a major improvement from its predecessor.
White is the Network Administrator at Chipola College and has been using the new operating system since August.
"Biggest feature over Vista that Windows 7 has is stability. Vista was pretty unstable. A lot of users complained about that, I know I was using it for a year and had to do a lot of reboots with that."
He and other technology gurus were frustrated with Vista's user account controls.
"Which every time you tried to do anything, it popped up with a box, 'are you sure you want to do that? Are you sure you want to do that?"
But he says the new operating system only shows that message when installing software.
White has been so impressed with Windows 7, he plans to migrate the college to it next summer.
"The buzz around it has been very good, I know there's some hype from Microsoft but the tech people I know are really liking Windows 7."
Computer software websites such as PC Magazine, PC World and Maximum PC are praising its security enhancements, easy-to-use search engine and touch screen feature.
"Allows you to get away from the mouse and the keyboard and use your fingers, like the iPhone."
With three different versions of Windows 7 to choose from, Microsoft officials are feeling more confident they will win over more PC users after Vista's disappointment.

Chipola College will host a Windows 7 launch party and seminar next Thursday, October 29th at 6pm.

Much like anything else Mocrosoft has rolled out, im sure it will have an endless list of updates over the next 6 months. I tried Vista, it was really the pits & i wound up going back to the previous version.
