A doctor with a weight loss clinic in Panama City has been arrested, along with three others, for prescribing medication without performing a medical exam.

The Florida Department of Law Enforcement and the Florida Department of Health announced today that 46 year old Dr. Stephen Duncan, the owner of Resolutions Weight Loss and the Men's Center of Tallahassee is charged with nine counts of writing prescriptions for controlled substances with no medical necessity.

An investigation revealed Dr. Duncan was prescribing Phendimetrazine, a schedule three controlled stimulant used to manage weight loss, to patients he had not medically examined.

He wrote those prescriptions from his Tallahassee office for patients visiting his clinics in Panama City, Orlando, Jacksonville, and Chattahoochee... As well as in Georgia and North Carolina.

I went to Resolutions in Valdosta Georgia for amost 1 year, I saw the Doctor one time via Tela-med (internet).I got my pills at from them the day I went for my visit. On my last visit they were packing up that day and told me they would be moving the office to Adel, Georgia and they would be contacting me in about 2 weeks once they moved in, but.... never heard from them again. The doors were locked and phone disconnected.

They worked so I didn't complain but never dreamed in was not legal. Hmmmmm....... wonder what my insurance thinks that they collected from.........
