An accused local child killer is finally coming to trial over a year after he allegedly kicked and beat a 2 year old to death.

Police say Dennis “peewee” Creamer kicked a toddler, beat her head against a wall, and threw her across the room. Creamer then allegedly put the toddler back in her bed, all this while the child's mother was asleep in the next room.

Creamer appeared before District Court Judge Dedee Costello Wednesday morning with his attorney.

The States Attorney’s office agreed to complete its investigations in time for the January 20, 2010 trial in Bay County Circuit Court.
